Pakistan Air Force is seeking qualified and dedicated K9 Specialist Personnel to join their team at PAF Base Lower Topa on a one-year extendable contract. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care and medical treatment to military working dogs, ensuring their health and fitness for duty.
- Assist in the daily care and maintenance of K9 units, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring the overall well-being of the dogs.
- Conduct and support specialized training programs to enhance the skills and performance of the dogs in various operational tasks.
- Maintain accurate records related to the health, training progress, and husbandry of the dogs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the effective management and deployment of K9 resources.
- Implement hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a clean and secure environment for both personnel and animals.
- Support logistical and administrative tasks related to the care and training of the dogs as required.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) for veterinary roles, or relevant certification and experience for Veterinary Assistants, Dog Trainers, Groomers, and Husbandry personnel.
- Proven experience working with dogs, particularly in training, grooming, or veterinary care.
- Ability to work effectively in a disciplined, team-oriented military environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Physical fitness and stamina to manage the demands of working with active military dogs.
- Willingness to commit to a one-year contract with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.
