Echo Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Civil Engineer with at least one year of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, design, and construction processes. This role involves working directly on project sites, ensuring the successful execution of plans while adhering to industry standards and building codes. The Civil Engineer will utilize expertise in various civil design software and surveying techniques to support project development from inception to completion.
This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, as well as the ability to conduct budgeting and cost estimation to maintain project feasibility. The role emphasizes practical experience in construction management and site evaluations to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards. While this position does not include team management responsibilities, it demands excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders throughout all project phases.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and review civil engineering plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil design software to support construction and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct land surveying and GPS surveying to collect accurate data for project planning and design.
- Ensure all designs and project executions comply with building codes, regulations, and local standards.
- Perform budgeting and cost estimation to prepare realistic financial projections for projects and monitor expenditures throughout the construction process.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, surveyors, and other professionals to align project objectives and resolve design or construction issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor construction sites regularly to ensure safety standards, quality control, and adherence to project schedules.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project specifications to support regulatory approvals and client requirements.
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze and interpret spatial data relevant to project planning and execution.
- Assist in procurement processes by evaluating material specifications and quantities needed for construction activities.
- Apply construction management principles to optimize workflow, resource allocation, and project delivery efficiency.
- Adapt to onsite project conditions and challenges, providing practical engineering solutions and documenting changes when necessary.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to review and update project progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
