We are seeking a hands-on Shopify Plus specialist to take full ownership of the quality, content, and performance of our Shopify stores. This role requires ensuring that every product listing, page update, theme modification, and app integration is accurate, on-brand, and optimized for conversion both before and after going live. The position bridges store operations, quality assurance, and conversion rate optimization, involving close collaboration with developers and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and QA product listings, including titles, descriptions, variants, metafields, collections, tags, SEO fields, and imagery.
- Write and edit clear, on-brand, and conversion-focused copy for homepage banners, product detail pages (PDPs), landing pages, and marketing campaigns in UK English.
- Perform bulk product updates and imports using tools such as CSV or Matrixify without disrupting live data.
- Monitor site speed, Core Web Vitals, and uptime, promptly identifying and flagging any regressions following theme or app changes.
- Analyze Shopify Analytics and reports—covering conversion rates, average order value (AOV), sessions, funnel drop-off, and top products—and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Propose and assist in running conversion rate optimization (CRO) tests on homepage and PDPs, then report on outcomes.
- Maintain accurate pricing, stock levels, shipping, and market settings across UK, EU, and other regions using Shopify Markets.
- Build and update homepage, collection, and PDP layouts using sections, blocks, and metafields within custom Online Store 2.0 themes.
- Install, configure, and test third-party apps such as reviews, subscriptions, upsells, search, translation, loyalty, and email/SMS integrations.
- Conduct thorough QA of app behavior across multiple devices, browsers, and markets, identifying conflicts or performance issues.
- Test all changes before launch, including links, forms, cart and checkout flows, discounts, translations, currencies, and mobile layouts.
- Maintain a QA checklist and bug log, following issues through to resolution with developers and external agencies.
- Provide weekly reports summarizing store health, resolved issues, and new opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing Shopify stores, with hands-on expertise in Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms.
- Excellent written and spoken English, capable of crafting polished and persuasive product and homepage copy.
- Solid understanding of CRO principles, including page hierarchy, trust signals, social proof, mobile user experience, and A/B testing.
- Proven experience working with international direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, ideally focused on UK and/or EU markets, including familiarity with Shopify Markets, multi-currency, and multi-language setups.
- Strong skills in product listing management: PDP content, variants, metafields, collections, bulk imports, and product SEO.
- Demonstrated ability to set up and QA Shopify apps and integrations effectively.
- Confidence in interpreting Shopify Analytics and explaining changes and trends clearly.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and quality assurance.
This role offers the opportunity to work on international D2C brands targeting UK and EU customers, requiring a strong grasp of how these markets shop and communicate. If you are passionate about e-commerce, meticulous in your work, and eager to optimize store performance, this position provides a dynamic and rewarding environment to apply your Shopify Plus expertise.
