EDTech & AI Manager

Our client is seeking an innovative and strategic EdTech & AI Manager based in Karachi to lead the integration of artificial intelligence and educational technology within their academic environment. This role goes beyond traditional IT functions, focusing on transforming teaching, learning, assessment, and school operations through technology. The successful candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive EdTech, AI, and Future Skills program aimed at making the institution more technology-enabled, innovative, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities

- AI & Digital Transformation: Develop and execute an organization-wide AI and EdTech transformation roadmap. Review current academic and administrative systems to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and efficiency improvements. Lead pilot projects for new AI solutions, present recommendations to senior management, and establish measurable outcomes for digital initiatives.

- Teaching & Learning Transformation: Collaborate with academic leadership to integrate AI and technology into teaching practices. Support teachers in using AI for lesson planning, differentiation, assessment, and feedback. Introduce digital tools that enhance personalized learning and student engagement while complementing strong teaching methods.

- EdTech, AI & Future Skills Curriculum: Design and continuously improve an age-appropriate curriculum that includes digital literacy, AI fundamentals, generative AI, computational thinking, coding, robotics, data literacy, virtual and augmented reality, AI ethics, digital citizenship, cyber safety, and responsible AI use. Emphasize project-based learning to encourage students to solve real-world problems using technology.

- Student Innovation & Technology Culture: Create opportunities such as AI challenges, hackathons, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary projects to foster innovation. Identify talented students for advanced learning and external competitions. Build partnerships with universities, tech companies, and startups to enhance the institution’s reputation in AI literacy and innovation.

- Teacher AI Enablement & Professional Development: Develop and deliver structured AI and EdTech training programs for teachers. Conduct workshops on practical AI applications and responsible use of generative AI. Establish EdTech/AI Champions and a train-the-trainer model to support adoption across campuses. Provide ongoing support and monitor technology integration.

- Automation & Institutional Efficiency: Identify AI-driven automation opportunities to reduce repetitive administrative tasks in areas such as admissions, communication, reporting, assessments, HR, scheduling, and data management. Aim to improve accuracy, speed, and institutional intelligence while reducing manual workload.

- EdTech Evaluation & Implementation: Assess learning management systems, AI platforms, and educational tools through cost-benefit analysis. Coordinate technology procurement and implementation with academic and IT teams. Monitor technology adoption, optimize subscriptions, and measure educational and financial impact.

- AI Governance, Safety & Academic Integrity: Develop and enforce an AI usage policy addressing ethical use, plagiarism, privacy, misinformation, and academic integrity. Educate students and staff on AI limitations and responsible practices. Continuously update policies in line with technological advancements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Education, Digital Learning, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- 3 to 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably within an educational environment.
- Strong knowledge of generative AI, educational technologies, and learning management systems.
- Experience in curriculum development, educational program design, and teacher training.
- Proven project management and implementation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and training abilities.
- Ability to translate complex technology concepts into practical solutions for educators and students.
