Overview:
The Technical Manager for Education and Proposal Writer will play a multifaceted role within the organization, overseeing the Digital Education Academy (DEA) program in the field office, while also taking responsibility for grant proposal writing and business development at the head office. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of setting program strategy, managing financial targets, ensuring effective people management, and crafting compelling grant proposals to support program sustainability and expansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of education policy and digital transformation, along with excellent written and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive program strategy for the Digital Education Academy, focusing on sustained impact and effective resource utilization.
· Set and manage financial targets for the DEA program, ensuring revenue generation through student and technical program fees.
· Provide leadership and guidance to field office staff, including education instructors and support personnel, to ensure program effectiveness and sustainability.
· Track reporting on students' progress, success rates, and feedback to measure the effectiveness of the program.
· Manage the Education Program’s Management Information System (MIS), designating roles and responsibilities.
Grant Proposal Writing:
· Research funding opportunities and identify potential donors and grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities and program objectives.
· Write and edit grant proposals, concept notes, and project narratives, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and guidelines.
· Collaborate with program managers and finance staff to develop accurate budget proposals and financial narratives for grant applications.
Technical Documentation:
· Prepare technical reports, case studies, and other documentation to communicate program achievements, lessons learned, and best practices.
· Translate technical information into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences, including donors, partners, and stakeholders.
· Organize and maintain a repository of programmatic information, including project documents, reports, and success stories.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
· At least 3-5 years of experience in program/project management and grant proposal writing, preferably in the education or non-profit sector.
· Strong understanding of digital education technologies and methodologies, with experience in implementing digital literacy programs.
· Proven track record in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue generation.
· Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and technical information clearly and compellingly.
· Demonstrated leadership and people management abilities, with experience in team supervision and capacity building.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software is preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate team members.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
· Passionate about empowering others and making a positive impact in the community.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience working in marginalized communities or with vulnerable populations.
· Knowledge of donor landscape and familiarity with grant management software.
· Proficiency in Punjabi or Pashto language
· Experience with monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools.
· Networking abilities to establish and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals within the community.
· Tech-savvy with familiarity in digital collaboration software.
· Experience with graphic design
Note: This is an on-site position, and candidates will be required to travel to the AHKF field office as required.
Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
