The Educational Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based at UKEC Pakistan’s Lahore office. The counselor will provide personalized guidance to prospective students interested in studying in Europe, helping them explore suitable courses, universities, and pathway programs. This position involves supporting students throughout the application process by assisting with documentation, timelines, and coordination with internal teams and European partner institutions to ensure the accuracy of information. Daily responsibilities include conducting information sessions, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in person, and maintaining detailed records using CRM or other systems. The counselor will also facilitate pre-departure briefings, provide follow-up support, and actively participate in education fairs, workshops, and seminars.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one educational counseling focused on study opportunities in Europe, including course and university selection.
- Assist students with application preparation, documentation, and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and European partner institutions to maintain up-to-date and accurate information.
- Conduct information sessions and respond promptly to student inquiries through various communication channels.
- Maintain detailed records of student interactions and progress using CRM or other digital tools.
- Support pre-departure briefings and offer ongoing follow-up assistance to students.
- Represent UKEC at education fairs, workshops, and information seminars to promote study options and services.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to deliver effective educational consulting and guidance on European study pathways and institutions.
- Strong student counseling skills, including personalized advisory sessions and comprehensive support throughout the application journey.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with students, families, and partner organizations.
- Understanding of European higher education systems, admission requirements, and study routes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Business, Social Sciences, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with keen attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using digital tools, CRM systems, and office software for case tracking and communication.
- Commitment to a professional, inclusive, and student-centered counseling approach, adhering to ethical and non-discriminatory practices.
