Assistant Manager - Fund Accounting

EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is searching for a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Manager specializing in Fund Accounting with 3 to 5 years of experience. This role requires expertise in managing the accurate calculation, recording, and reporting of financial data related to a diverse range of funds under management. The ideal candidate holds an MBA, ACCA, or CFA qualification and possesses a deep understanding of fund accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and key financial processes such as IPAM, PKRV updates, and NCCPL procedures. The position demands exceptional attention to detail and excellent time management skills to ensure daily accuracy and compliance within the fund accounting operations. In this role, the Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily fund valuation activities, calculating moving averages for government securities, and maintaining precise financial records. The position plays a crucial role in supporting the fund accounting department by ensuring adherence to all regulatory guidelines and maintaining timely and accurate reporting. While this role does not involve managing a team, the candidate must independently execute tasks with precision and uphold corporate standards in all activities. Active management of operational processes such as income accruals, journal voucher preparation, and coordination with NCCPL functions including CDC share affirmation and RTGS letter preparation is key to success in this role.
Responsibilities

Manage the daily valuation and accurate calculation of funds, ensuring consistency and regulatory compliance.
Perform reconciliation and audit procedures related to fund accounting activities to maintain financial integrity.
Calculate moving averages for government securities and update fund valuation records accordingly.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, including NAV (Net Asset Value) reporting and portfolio accounting documentation.
Execute income accruals, prepare journal vouchers, and ensure timely posting of accounting transactions.
Coordinate key operational processes with NCCPL, such as CDC share affirmation and RTGS letter preparation.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements and support external auditors during the audit process.
Maintain detailed and accurate fund recording and reporting in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
Implement and monitor controls to safeguard fund data accuracy and integrity.
Support continuous improvements in fund accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Monitor regulatory updates and ensure the fund accounting department complies with relevant guidelines and standards.
Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy in financial data management.
