The UX Copywriter Specialist plays a crucial role in driving user engagement and conversion by identifying friction points in copy and proposing data-driven improvements. This role also involves working with compliance teams to ensure all financial communications are clear, fair, and meet regulatory standards. The specialist contributes to a broad range of content including landing pages, performance advertising, emails, SEO blogs, and app store listings. Maintaining and evolving tone-of-voice guidelines and managing the organization's copy library are key elements of the role. This position does not involve managing a team but requires effective collaboration within diverse, cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered digital experiences in fintech and regulated financial services environments.
Responsibilities

  • Own UX copy across critical product journeys including sign-up processes, KYC, money transfers, payments, fees, notifications, and error messaging to ensure clarity and user engagement.
  • Identify copy-related barriers within product interfaces and propose data-driven improvements aimed at increasing user conversion and task completion.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to develop copy for new features and conduct A/B testing on copy variations to optimize user experience.
  • Ensure all product copy adheres to clear, consistent, accessible, and compliant language standards across different markets and platforms.
  • Create compelling and user-friendly copy for landing pages, digital advertising campaigns, emails, blog posts optimized for SEO, app store descriptions, and promotional materials.
  • Partner with Compliance teams to guarantee that all financial communications are clear, fair, and compliant with relevant regulations and guidelines such as FCA financial promotions.
  • Develop, maintain, and regularly update tone-of-voice guidelines to ensure brand consistency and resonant messaging aligned with target audiences.
  • Manage and curate the organizations copy library to maintain high-quality writing standards and facilitate reusability across products and campaigns.
  • Simplify complex financial concepts, fees, and money-related information to enhance clarity and user understanding within product copy.
  • Adapt writing style and tone to suit diverse multicultural audiences across various markets, ensuring inclusivity and cultural sensitivity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing the impact of copy changes and integrating user feedback into content iterations.
