Senior iOS Engineer - Mobile Foundations (aka “Core”)
What is the Mobile Foundations Team responsible for?
- Developer Experience
- Developer Productivity
- Architecture
- CICD
- Building Services and Frameworks for faster feature development
- Standardization and Automation
- Mobile Best Practices
- Mentoring the mobile team and teaching them what you’ve learned
- Git repo management
- Test coverage enforcement (via PR checks and teaching the team how to write effective tests)
- Modularization
- Business critical features and bug fixes (i.e. payment, checkout, cart, critical crashes)
- Performance Monitoring
- Feature Flagging
- Bug Triage
- Xcode configuration and build scripts (Gradle for Android counterpart)
- Core Data (Room for Android)
- Build Tooling
- Networking (APIClient)
- Fastlane
You don’t need to have expertise in all of these fields, but prior experience is preferred. If you find yourself more interested in building the “Foundation” of a feature, rather than the UI/UX, this team is for you! Bonus points for having been a part of a technical initiatives team.
