Electrical Enginee

The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all electrical systems, machinery, equipment, and utilities within the factory. This position focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, reducing breakdowns, electrical safety, and continuous improvement of plant equipment to support smooth production processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within the factory.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and promptly resolve machine breakdowns and electrical faults.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, control panels, MCC panels, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, breakers, and electrical distribution systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing and measuring instruments.
- Monitor electrical systems to identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.
- Maintain electrical distribution systems, including LT panels, distribution boards, cables, breakers, and protection systems.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of generators, UPS systems, and other electrical utilities where applicable.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and relocation of production machinery.
- Coordinate with production departments to minimize machine downtime and production interruptions.
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
- Maintain detailed records of breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and equipment history.
- Identify recurring electrical problems and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor critical electrical spare parts and coordinate requirements with Stores and Purchase departments.
- Ensure proper earthing, electrical protection, isolation, and workplace electrical safety.
- Comply with company safety procedures and applicable electrical standards.
- Support energy-saving initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce electricity consumption and operating costs.
- Supervise electricians and technicians, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized electrical work.
- Participate in continuous improvement and machinery reliability projects.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc/BE) from a recognized university.
- PEC registration preferred or required where applicable.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or engineering.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with machinery troubleshooting and industrial electrical systems.
