We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician specializing in industrial machinery and automation systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of CNC routers, cutting machines, and automated glass processing lines to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, automation controls, and commissioning of new equipment within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on CNC routers, double-head cutting machines, copy routers, end milling machines, and automated glass cutting/processing lines.
- Troubleshoot and configure PLC systems, HMI interfaces, variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo systems, and pneumatic controls to maintain smooth operation of machinery.
- Read and interpret complex electrical schematics to inspect, diagnose, and repair control panels, motor control centers (MCC/PCC), motors, encoders, and various sensors such as photoelectric and proximity sensors.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on machinery failures to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Maintain detailed maintenance logs and manage spare parts inventory effectively.
- Support the commissioning process for new production lines, including machine installation, parameter configuration, and industrial networking setup.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics is preferred. Candidates with a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical Engineering and significant hands-on experience will also be considered.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance and automation, particularly within manufacturing facilities and automated assembly lines.
- Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with core automation platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Schneider PLCs.
- Strong technical expertise in electrical control panels, motor control systems, fault diagnosis, schematic reading, and utility systems including air compressors and power distribution networks.
- Familiarity with industrial solar power systems, including solar panels, inverters, battery systems, net metering, solar monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and integration with industrial electrical distribution systems.
