Electrical Technician

Barkat Frisian is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join its maintenance team at the Port Qasim facility in Karachi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment within an industrial environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various electrical control systems and industrial installations, with a strong focus on safety and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems, MCC panels, control panels, motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, and related equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults promptly and carry out timely repairs to reduce equipment downtime.
- Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial electrical installations.
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC systems and related equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with the mechanical maintenance team to coordinate electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
- Interpret and work from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuits accurately.
- Ensure all electrical equipment is operated and maintained safely in compliance with company procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs for reporting and analysis.
- Adhere strictly to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and electrical safety protocols.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical from a recognized technical institute.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of industrial experience in electrical maintenance.
- Practical knowledge and experience with electrical control systems and industrial equipment.
- Good understanding of HVAC systems and basic mechanical maintenance principles.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults.
- Experience working in industrial plants, manufacturing, food processing, refrigeration, or similar sectors is highly preferred.

Required Skills
- Industrial electrical maintenance expertise.
