Vostro World is seeking a skilled and responsible Electrician to join its team, focusing on maintaining, inspecting, and repairing electrical systems across health, fitness, and wellness facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive care, with a strong emphasis on workplace safety. This role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently and responding promptly to urgent maintenance needs to ensure the smooth operation of all electrical installations within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, distribution boards, and lighting systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, including short circuits, power failures, and equipment-related issues.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety and uninterrupted functioning of electrical systems.
- Maintain electrical installations and fixtures in various areas such as gym spaces, offices, café, spa, washrooms, and other facility zones.
- Inspect power connections for gym equipment and coordinate specialized repairs when necessary.
- Identify potential electrical hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve electrical complaints efficiently.
- Keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor electrical tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials, reporting requirements to management.
- Collaborate with the Facility Manager and Operations Manager to plan maintenance schedules and manage major repairs.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, electrical safety standards, and management instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Matriculation or equivalent qualification; possession of a technical diploma or electrician certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
- Practical knowledge of electrical wiring, circuit breakers, distribution boards, and fault diagnosis.
- Experience working with 3-phase electrical systems.
- Proficient in operating electrical tools and testing equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and preventive maintenance practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle urgent maintenance requirements effectively.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in commercial buildings, gyms, hotels, or similar facilities is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
