Electronics Hardware Engineer (Embedded & PCB Design)

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of industrial electronic devices. This role involves close collaboration with mechatronics and software teams, taking projects from initial schematics through to fully tested products in the field. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in circuit and PCB design, with a strong foundation in analog and power electronics, and a passion for building robust hardware solutions for challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design circuits and multi-layer PCBs (2–4 layers) using tools such as KiCad or Altium, focusing on sensor interfaces, precision measurement, and microcontroller boards (ESP32 / STM32).
- Develop 12/24 V DC power stages incorporating surge protection, reverse-polarity safeguards, and fuses.
- Integrate various sensors and communication interfaces including UART, RS-485/Modbus, I2C, SPI, and Wi-Fi.
- Design control panels for motors, pumps, and valves, implementing relays, contactors, and overload protection mechanisms.
- Prototype, solder, test, and thoroughly document all designs, including schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and test reports.
- Select appropriate IP65/IP67 rated enclosures and source locally available components to ensure durability and maintainability.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in circuit and PCB design, supported by a portfolio of completed boards.
- Strong fundamentals in analog and power electronics.
- Experience with precision analog sensing, signal conditioning, and sensor calibration techniques.
- Practical knowledge of designing hardware for outdoor and harsh environments, including temperature extremes, vibration, moisture, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Proficiency in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters, along with SMD soldering skills. Ability to analyze and characterize undocumented devices is essential.
- Understanding of safe AC switching and panel wiring standards.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in robotics, including motor drivers, encoders, and sensor feedback systems, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IoT technologies such as MQTT, cloud dashboards, and over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates is a plus.
