The ideal candidate possesses at least five years of hands-on experience working with engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and is proficient in the use of diagnostic and inspection software. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, including welding and fabrication skills, as well as the ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment safely. The mechanic must be capable of interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise repairs and preventive maintenance. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the individual must demonstrate strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently in demanding physical environments. The Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for sustaining the operational integrity of production equipment by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting complex mechanical failures, and completing prompt repairs. The role involves using both traditional mechanical skills and modern technology, including CNC machine operation and inspection software such as DIALux and AutoCAD. Physical stamina is crucial as the work requires heavy lifting and standing for long periods. Candidates must also possess a valid driver’s license and adhere to stringent power tool safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Responsibilities

Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel/gas engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
Inspect machinery and equipment regularly using manuals, schematics, blueprints, and specialized diagnostic and inspection software to identify and address potential issues.
Conduct welding and fabrication activities to repair or customize equipment components as needed for operational efficiency.
Operate various hand and power tools, including CNC machines, power tools, and inspection software such as DIALux and AutoCAD, following strict safety protocols.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures by analyzing symptoms, referencing technical documentation, and applying system knowledge to restore equipment promptly.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Adhere to power tool safety procedures and promote a safe work environment by identifying hazards and enforcing safety standards.
Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within established deadlines while maintaining high quality and reliability standards.
Stay current with advances in technology, equipment, and repair techniques to continuously improve maintenance practices.
Support the loading and unloading of heavy parts during repairs, demonstrating physical endurance and coordination as required.
Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance activities minimizing downtime and maximizing production efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations and maintain the proper use and condition of personal protective equipment.
