Eleven Optical Fiber Cable (SMC-Private) Limited is seeking a dedicated Optical Cable Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on operating and monitoring specialized machinery involved in the production of optical cables, including fiber coloring, loose tube extrusion, SZ stranding, and sheathing lines. The ideal candidate brings mechanical aptitude with an ability to understand technical specifications and quality standards while following strict safety protocols throughout the production process. This position requires physical stamina for long shifts and handling materials safely. The Optical Cable Production Operator plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and quality of optical fibers from start to finish. Responsibilities include ensuring production equipment runs smoothly, identifying and troubleshooting line defects promptly, and maintaining accurate production data with basic computer skills. The operator must comply with workplace safety standards including proper use of personal protective equipment. This individual contributes proactively to the manufacturing process but does not manage a team. Attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to company policies are essential for success in this manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Operate and monitor complex machinery used in optical cable production, including fiber coloring units, loose tube extrusion lines, SZ stranding machines, and sheathing equipment.
Perform quality control checks at various stages to detect defects early and ensure the optical fibers meet technical specifications and industry quality standards.
Conduct routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain smooth production flow.
Accurately record production data using computer systems and maintain logs per company standards.
Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and work instructions to guide production activities.
Handle and sort delicate optical fibers carefully using fine motor skills and ensure proper fiber alignment during processing.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear necessary personal protective equipment including safety glasses and gloves.
Stand for extended periods on concrete floors during shifts up to 12 hours and safely lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, contribute to continuous process improvement, and cooperate with team members to meet production targets.
Follow established procedures for process control systems and quality assurance to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
Participate willingly in rotating shifts or overtime as required to support production demands.
