Ellena Fashion Apparel is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Account Officer to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a candidate with up to one year of relevant accounting experience who is eager to develop their skills in a dynamic work environment. The Junior Account Officer will assist in managing daily accounting activities, ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions and maintaining comprehensive financial documentation. This role supports the finance department by preparing invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with month-end closing processes.
The Junior Account Officer does not manage a team but works closely with senior accounting staff to execute routine accounting tasks and financial report preparation. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel is essential, alongside a foundational understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions accurately in accounting systems.
- Prepare, review, and process invoices, vouchers, and payment entries in a timely manner.
- Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accurate and prompt processing.
- Perform bank reconciliations to verify financial transaction accuracy and maintain petty cash records.
- Organize and maintain accounting files and support documents, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with month-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Collaborate with senior accounts staff to assist with audits, reconciliations, and other accounting projects.
- Utilize MS Excel and accounting software to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial data processing.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial records and data handled.
- Continuously update knowledge on accounting principles and company policies to support compliance and accuracy.
