The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing impactful email campaigns aimed at increasing customer engagement, retention, and conversion rates. This role involves creating compelling email content, managing segmented mailing lists, analyzing campaign performance, and maintaining brand consistency across all communications. The ideal candidate combines creativity with strong analytical skills and is proficient in using various email marketing platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Development: Plan, develop, and execute diverse email campaigns such as newsletters, product promotions, and customer lifecycle emails.
- Content Creation: Craft persuasive email copy that reflects the brand’s voice and drives user engagement and conversions.
- Segmentation & Targeting: Build and maintain segmented email lists to effectively target specific audience groups.
- A/B Testing: Perform A/B tests on subject lines, content, visuals, and calls-to-action to optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Automation: Develop and manage automated email workflows including onboarding sequences, re-engagement campaigns, and abandoned cart recovery.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates, using insights to refine future campaigns.
- Compliance & Deliverability: Ensure all email marketing activities comply with regulations like CAN-SPAM and GDPR, maintain list hygiene, and optimize deliverability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product marketers, and other stakeholders to produce visually appealing and relevant email content.
- Customer Engagement: Track customer feedback and interactions to continuously improve email strategies and strengthen customer relationships.
Required Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or Marketo.
- Copywriting Skills: Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging email content that aligns with marketing goals.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in using Google Analytics and other tools to interpret data and optimize campaign performance.
- A/B Testing Knowledge: Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and best practices for ongoing campaign improvement.
- Automation Expertise: Experience in setting up and managing automated email workflows and mapping customer journeys.
- Design Sense: Basic knowledge of design principles and experience creating visually appealing emails; familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple campaigns and meet deadlines efficiently.
