The Engineer AWM Power Plant position is based at the Karachi Engineering Complex near the KHI Airport and plays a critical role within the Engineering department. This role focuses on managing and analyzing Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) data to support maintenance and operational efficiency. The engineer will work closely with maintenance teams, manufacturers, and regulatory bodies to ensure the optimal performance and airworthiness of aircraft power plants, specifically CFM56-5B and LEAP-1A engines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain accurate EHM data records, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Analyze EHM data and upload findings into the CFM Diagnostics Program to support predictive maintenance.
- Provide expert advice to maintenance teams on troubleshooting procedures and corrective actions to resolve engine-related issues.
- Continuously monitor Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) health and performance metrics.
- Evaluate Airworthiness Directives (ADs) issued by CFM and Airbus, ensuring compliance with mandatory and advisory requirements.
- Assess various categories of Service Bulletins (SBs) including Mandatory, Non-Mandatory, Desirable, and Optional, to determine their impact on operations.
- Liaise with manufacturers or their representatives to address defects that cannot be resolved through standard Technical Support Manual (TSM) procedures.
- Participate in audits related to the Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) renewal documentation.
- Support audit activities conducted by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) and Quality Assurance (QA) teams.
- Develop and implement staggering plans for Engine and APU shop visits to optimize maintenance scheduling.
- Prepare and issue detailed work scopes for Engine and APU shop checks when due.
- Issue Technical Notices as required to support operational and maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date technical records in compliance with Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) requirements.
- Manage Borescope Inspection (BSI) control and monitoring activities, reviewing reports and escalating issues for corrective action as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Aerospace or Mechanical, from a Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) recognized university.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the airline industry, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in Airworthiness Management.
- Hands-on experience working with Power Plant systems, specifically CFM56-5B and LEAP-1A engines.

Preferred Qualifications and Training:
- Certified Borescope Inspection Theory Course for both CFM56-5B and LEAP-1A engines is highly desirable.
- Certified training in engine condition monitoring for CFM56-5B and LEAP-1A is preferred to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
