FunFox Program, Australia’s leading education company specializing in foundational learning for young students, is seeking a Lead Curriculum Developer to join our fully remote team. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Reporting directly to the CEO and Head of Curriculum Design, you will play a pivotal role in designing and refining curriculum content that supports our mission to provide engaging, effective, and innovative learning experiences aligned with NSW educational standards and the FunFox Way.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality curriculum materials, including worksheets and presentations, tailored for primary school students. This includes creating lesson plans that incorporate cutting-edge teaching methodologies and technologies to boost student engagement. Collaboration is essential; you will work closely with teaching staff to gather feedback, assess curriculum effectiveness, and implement improvements. Additionally, you will teach up to five classes weekly to observe student interaction with the curriculum and identify areas for enhancement. Supporting teacher training on new curriculum materials and instructional strategies is also a key part of your role. While most of your workday is self-managed, you will participate in fixed team meetings every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:30 AM PKT, along with regular check-ins with the Head Teacher to ensure alignment and progress tracking.
Required Qualifications
A passion for curriculum development and a genuine interest in improving educational outcomes for young learners is essential. Candidates must have proven experience in creating and implementing curriculum for primary school students, particularly in English language arts. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to clearly articulate educational concepts and methodologies. A collaborative mindset is important for working effectively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate a growth mindset, showing commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new teaching tools and technologies. Previous teaching experience or working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
This is an ongoing role supporting multiple active curriculum streams, offering consistent long-term work with natural fluctuations aligned to the academic calendar. FunFox provides a flexible work environment with fully remote working arrangements and autonomy over your schedule outside of fixed team meetings. You will join a supportive team committed to professional development and continuous improvement. The compensation package is competitive, reflecting the importance of this role in shaping the educational experiences of young learners across Australia.

The selection process includes completing an initial application form, followed by a curriculum development task for shortlisted candidates. Successful applicants will then engage in conversations with the People Team, conduct a demo teaching session with students, and participate in a final culture fit interview.
This opportunity is ideal for an innovative and dedicated curriculum developer eager to make a meaningful impact in education while enjoying the flexibility of remote work and a collaborative team environment.
