English Teacher (O Levels)

The Orchid School is looking for a dedicated and experienced O Levels English Teacher to join its North Nazimabad Chapter in Karachi. The successful candidate will have a strong command of the English language and be well-versed in the Cambridge O Levels curriculum. This role requires someone who can deliver engaging and effective lessons that enhance students’ reading, writing, comprehension, and analytical skills, while preparing them thoroughly for their Cambridge examinations. Excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching are essential to foster a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver dynamic English lessons aligned with the Cambridge O Levels curriculum.
- Teach both English Language and Literature as per the assigned classes.
- Develop students’ skills in reading, writing, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and analysis.
- Prepare students for Cambridge assessments and examinations with targeted strategies.
- Design lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and assessment tools to support learning objectives.
- Evaluate students’ academic progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline while encouraging active participation from all students.
- Identify individual learning needs and offer appropriate academic support to help students improve.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues and academic teams to enhance teaching methodologies and student outcomes.
- Communicate student progress and any academic concerns to parents and school management when necessary.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching O Levels English is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge O Levels English curriculum and examination standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment.
- Ability to motivate students and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Familiarity with Cambridge examination techniques and marking criteria.

This position requires the candidate to work on-site at the North Nazimabad Chapter, ensuring direct interaction with students and colleagues to maintain high educational standards.
