KN Academy, located near Malir Cantt Check Post No. 03 in Karachi, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Years English Teacher to join its academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language and a passion for making learning interactive and engaging for young learners. This role involves teaching English according to the primary-level Cambridge curriculum, fostering students’ language and communication skills, and creating a supportive classroom environment that encourages academic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored for primary-level students.
- Teach core language skills including reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence formation.
- Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and interactive classroom activities.
- Assess students’ academic progress through classwork, homework, quizzes, and tests.
- Provide additional support to students requiring help to improve their English language skills.
- Encourage positive reading habits, creative writing, storytelling, and active classroom participation.
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Keep accurate records of students’ performance and progress.
- Communicate students’ learning progress and any concerns to parents and school management when necessary.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Good classroom management and lesson-planning abilities.
- Ability to explain language concepts clearly and in an engaging manner.
- Passion for teaching and supporting young learners.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Previous teaching experience at the primary level is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum is considered an advantage.
