Entomologist

The Pointerz Group is a leading pest management company serving factories, food processing plants, warehouses, and homes across Pakistan. We are seeking an experienced Entomologist to lead the technical aspects of our pest control operations and ensure that our clients’ sites remain audit-ready. This role involves identifying pests, designing effective pest management programs, conducting site inspections, and supporting clients through food safety and quality audits.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify insects, rodents, and other pests at client locations, determining their sources and causes.
- Design and review Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs tailored for commercial and industrial environments.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and risk assessments at factories, food processing plants, and warehouses.
- Recommend appropriate treatment solutions, including chemical, non-chemical, and preventive measures.
- Analyze monitoring data from bait stations, traps, and insect light traps to detect trends and prevent infestations.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and assist clients during food safety and quality audits.
- Train and mentor field technicians on pest biology, identification, and safe treatment practices.
- Ensure all pest control treatments comply with safety regulations and meet client and audit standards.
- Stay updated on the latest pest management techniques and products to maintain industry best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Entomology, Zoology, Agriculture, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Proficiency in identifying common stored-product, structural, and public health pests.
- Solid understanding of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles and pesticide safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Urdu.
- Willingness to travel regularly to client sites across various locations.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Familiarity with food safety standards and audit processes such as HACCP, BRC, AIB, or ISO 22000 is a significant plus.
