Grade L3 position based in Islamabad, reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management at VEON. The Manager ERM plays a critical role in supporting and coordinating enterprise risk management activities across the VEON Group. This position is responsible for executing the Group’s risk frameworks, managing the risk platform and reporting cycles, applying consistent methodologies, and overseeing risk assessments across multiple operating companies (OpCos). The role also focuses on emerging risks, including new business verticals, the digital portfolio, and climate/ESG considerations.

Key Responsibilities

Emerging Risk & Framework Implementation:
- Implement risk assessment frameworks for new verticals and business lines, ensuring alignment with Group methodology and governance standards.
- Operationalize the Digital Portfolio Risk Assessment framework across applicable entities.
- Lead Climate and ESG risk assessments and reporting through OpCos.
- Monitor emerging risks such as AI, regulatory changes, geopolitical developments, and industry transformation, maintaining early-warning indicators.

Platform & Process Operations:
- Manage day-to-day administration of the ERM platform, including dashboards, workflows, taxonomy, and data quality.
- Drive continuous improvements in ERM methodologies and reporting processes across the Group.
- Ensure enterprise-wide data governance and taxonomy consistency within the platform.

Cross-OpCo Coordination & Risk Cadence:
- Oversee the operational ERM cadence across all OpCos and newly acquired entities, managing quarterly and periodic risk assessment cycles.
- Coordinate risk submissions, validating summaries for completeness, quality, and consistency.
- Conduct cross-OpCo theme analysis, identify trends, and perform benchmarking exercises.
- Escalate material risks, emerging issues, and process gaps to the Group Head ERM.

ARC & Board Reporting Support:
- Assist the Group Head ERM in consolidating inputs from OpCos for the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) reporting pack.
- Perform risk analytics, heatmap evolution, and scenario analysis to support enterprise decision-making.
- Validate data and challenge assumptions to maintain reporting integrity.
- Support communication of the enterprise risk posture, emerging risks, and governance effectiveness to management, ARC, and the Board.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, risk transformation, or related governance functions, preferably within multinational or multi-entity organizations.
- Proven experience in supporting or leading risk framework development, risk transformation initiatives, or cross-functional risk governance programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, data engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CIA, or ACCA/CA are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
