We are seeking an experienced ESLint Developer to join our onsite team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on ensuring code quality, consistency, maintainability, and performance across large-scale codebases. This role involves developing custom ESLint rules and plugins, enforcing coding standards, and supporting scalable front-end engineering efforts, particularly within large e-commerce applications. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, configure, and maintain ESLint rules and configurations tailored to project needs.
- Build custom ESLint rules and plugins based on defined development and coding standards.
- Define and enforce coding standards across JavaScript and TypeScript applications to ensure consistency and maintainability.
- Identify and address issues related to code quality, performance, and consistency.
- Create and maintain reusable ESLint configurations that can be applied across multiple projects.
- Integrate ESLint and automated code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows.
- Optimize linting processes for large codebases and monorepos, ensuring efficient performance.
- Troubleshoot issues related to ESLint configurations, parsers, plugins, and dependencies.
- Support ESLint upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvements to keep tooling up to date.
- Collaborate closely with front-end development teams to enhance overall development practices and code quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience with ESLint, including rule development and configuration.
- Proven ability to develop custom ESLint rules and plugins.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages.
- Solid understanding of Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) and static code analysis techniques.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably React.js.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and package managers like npm, Yarn, or pnpm.
- Experience integrating code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience working with large-scale JavaScript and TypeScript codebases.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on large-scale e-commerce applications.
- Knowledge of Next.js and Node.js frameworks.
- Familiarity with monorepo tools such as Nx or Turborepo.
- Understanding of code formatting and style tools like Prettier and Stylelint.
- Experience with code-quality platforms such as SonarQube or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Git hooks tools like Husky and lint-staged.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest.
- Experience working with CI/CD platforms including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
