Ethizo Doc To Me seeks a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist with strong expertise in healthcare credentialing verification and compliance monitoring. This role plays a critical part in supporting the healthcare revenue cycle by ensuring that provider credentials meet regulatory standards, payer requirements, and organizational policies. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance, NCQA accreditation standards, and is proficient with credentialing platforms like CAQH ProView. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional documentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple credentialing workflows efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role does not include team management responsibilities but requires excellent communication and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external payers. The Credentialing Specialist takes a strategic, solutions-focused approach to identify and mitigate compliance risks and operational barriers. Experience with electronic health records, medical coding and billing systems integration, and credentialing workflow automation will enhance success in this position. Familiarity with productivity software such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace is also essential to ensure smooth credentialing operations.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive verification of healthcare provider credentials to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, industry standards, and accreditation criteria to ensure all credentialing activities are compliant.
  • Execute credentialing and re-credentialing processes using systems such as CAQH ProView, PECOS, and OneView with precision and timeliness.
  • Manage documentation related to credentialing activities, ensuring high-quality records that meet organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate effectively with external payers, regulatory bodies, and healthcare providers to resolve credentialing issues and facilitate timely approvals.
  • Monitor compliance risks proactively, provide solutions to identified barriers, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure operational continuity.
  • Utilize healthcare information systems including electronic health records (EHR), medical billing systems, and credentialing software to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Leverage credentialing workflow automation tools and productivity software such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace to enhance process accuracy and throughput.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to integrate credentialing efforts into broader revenue cycle management, payer contracting, and billing functions.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and healthcare information privacy and security protocols throughout all credentialing activities.
  • Stay informed on updates to NCQA accreditation standards and ensure credentialing practices align with evolving quality requirements.
  • Prepare and submit credentialing reports to management and support audits as required.
  • Adapt to changing regulatory environments and industry trends to continuously improve credentialing processes and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a solutions-first mindset by anticipating challenges and developing strategies to overcome operational and compliance obstacles.
  • Manage credentialing data entry, verification, and processing in a reliable and confidential manner.
