ETL Developer

We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer with experience in banking technology to support OFSAA ALM and IRRBB data requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing data needs, developing ETL processes, and ensuring data quality for financial risk management systems. This role requires close collaboration with technical and business teams to deliver accurate, validated data solutions that support asset liability management and interest rate risk in the banking book.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze and understand data requirements for OFSAA ALM and IRRBB modules.
- Identify necessary data elements from source systems and data warehouses, and prepare detailed source-to-target mappings.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes for extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data into the OFSAA environment.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the OFSAA/SASA data model, including key tables, fields, relationships, and dependencies.
- Design and implement transformation and derivation logic based on functional ALM and IRRBB requirements.
- Write complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, procedures, functions, and scripts to support data processing and validation tasks.
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, and conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy.
- Validate loaded data against source systems and agreed-upon requirements to maintain data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies affecting ALM/IRRBB calculations and reporting outputs.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test data, validating results, and troubleshooting ETL-related issues.
- Collaborate closely with the OFSAA ALM techno-functional team, bank data teams, database administrators, and implementation vendors.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation covering ETL workflows, mappings, transformation rules, and data dependencies.

Required Qualifications

- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in ETL development, data engineering, or banking technology environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Experience working with at least one enterprise ETL tool such as Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), DataStage, Talend, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to develop source-to-target mappings and implement complex transformation logic.
- Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting large datasets.
- Capability to handle large volumes of financial or banking data efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Knowledge of OFSAA ALM and/or IRRBB data requirements is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with OFSAA/SASA key tables and data structures will be an advantage.
- Ability to interpret ALM data needs related to accounts, instruments, balances, cash flows, interest rates, maturities, repricing, currencies, and associated attributes.
- Experience translating functional requirements into technical ETL specifications and implementations.
- Prior OFSAA implementation experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Background in banking or financial services is preferred.
- Experience working with Oracle databases and enterprise data warehouses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to data accuracy and reconciliation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
