- Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
- Verification of patient by reading patient identification on office copy before sampling
- Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following lab policies and procedures.
- Monitors glucose levels by performing glucose tests; recording results; reporting results to the pathologist
- Performs bleeding-times and clotting time tests by entering results to the hematology section.
- Maintains quality results by following department procedures and testing schedule; recording results in the quality-control log; identifying and reporting needed changes.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures;.
- Home collection on need basis
- Maintain Inventory of phlebotomy area
- Provide assistance to the patients visiting the lab
- Provide relevant information to patients in time
Any other task assigned by the concerned Operational head
