We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead and oversee FTTH (Fiber to the Home) field operations, ensuring timely and high-quality deployment of fiber network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom, project management, and quality assurance, with hands-on experience in FTTH deployment. This role demands effective coordination with multiple teams and stakeholders to maintain project timelines, quality standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The position is based in Islamabad and requires on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage FTTH field teams to deliver projects on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards and effective project management practices.
- Monitor and enhance quality across all FTTH installations, ensuring compliance with USF and company standards.
- Coordinate with planning, deployment, quality assurance, operations, vendors, and other stakeholders to guarantee project deadlines and quality benchmarks are met.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and operational guidelines during deployment activities, maintaining compliance with all relevant instructions and regulations.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, maintain comprehensive documentation, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to FTTH project delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Track and monitor project progress aligned with deliverables and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Manage all financial aspects of the project, including budgeting and cost control.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain effective communication among all parties involved.
- Follow up with vendors regarding Right of Way (RoW) acquisitions and manage day-to-day field segment permissions and related activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of education with a degree in Telecom, PMP certification, or a related field.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in FTTH, particularly in quality assurance, deployment, or project management.
- Strong technical knowledge of FTTH, including fiber deployments and associated network infrastructure components.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in project management and delivery within telecom or related sectors.
- Good understanding and expertise in handling Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
- Competence in risk assessment and developing mitigation action plans.
- Vendor management experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience in quality assurance is advantageous.
- The position offers a monthly salary of Rs. 100,000.
- The role requires working in person at the Islamabad location.
