Executive QAC Telco

The role involves overseeing all Non-Telco and Telco activities within the designated geographical grid(s). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring optimal network availability and efficient network operations while managing the allocated operational expenditure (OPEX) budget. This includes monitoring network utilization, addressing maintenance service (MS) related issues, leading field teams to resolve problems promptly, and driving improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs) related to network management.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end Non-Telco and Telco activities within the assigned grid(s), ensuring smooth network operations and availability.
- Monitor grid performance and supervise field teams to ensure adherence to network KPIs.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of the access network and generator sets (Gen-sets), ensuring timely execution.
- Manage the grid’s OPEX budget effectively, identifying and implementing cost optimization measures such as reducing electricity and diesel generator fuel consumption.
- Lead and support field teams including cluster owners, riggers, and fueling teams, focusing on their skill development and competence enhancement.
- Collaborate with the regional Field Operations (FOPS) manager and Team Group Leaders (TGLs) to allocate monthly targets and KPIs to field teams.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of field teams on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in managing network operations within a telecommunications or related infrastructure environment.
- Strong understanding of network availability metrics and maintenance processes, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Experience in budget management, specifically operational expenditure (OPEX) control and optimization.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop field teams effectively.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage performance through KPIs and target setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle MS-related issues promptly.
