The Executive/Senior Executive – Quality Control (Packaging) plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of packaging materials through timely physical and chemical testing. This position involves generating analytical reports using SAP, maintaining GMP-compliant records, coordinating packaging material machine trials, and preparing as well as evaluating dossiers. The role demands strict adherence to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and pharmacopeial standards. Additionally, the incumbent supports product release activities, regulatory compliance, and the review of artwork print proofs, shade cards, and packaging specifications. Continuous improvement of quality control processes is also a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical and chemical testing of packaging materials in accordance with cGMP requirements to ensure quality and compliance.
- Ensure timely testing and release of packaging materials within the approved lead times to support production schedules.
- Review relevant SOPs, specifications, and guidelines prior to initiating assigned tasks to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate and monitor packaging material machine trials, evaluating the outcomes to support process validation and improvement.
- Prepare detailed analytical reports in SAP while maintaining complete, accurate, and traceable raw data records.
- Maintain documentation and records in strict compliance with GMP and data integrity standards.
- Prepare and submit packaging material dossiers required for regulatory submissions.
- Review and approve packaging artworks, print proofs, shade cards, and related specifications to ensure alignment with quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharm-D), or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized or accredited university.
- 1 to 3 years of practical experience in Quality Control, specifically within the packaging section of a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, packaging standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and documentation protocols to ensure compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards.
