Expert Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Teknosys

Teknosys is seeking an Expert Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their Islamabad team, playing a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the company’s on-premises Kubernetes platform and core infrastructure. This hands-on position focuses on ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of digital infrastructure that supports scalable and high-performing platforms. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with DevOps and development teams to streamline deployments, automate operations, and uphold security and resilience across infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and optimize on-premises Kubernetes clusters, including deployments, upgrades, scaling, and lifecycle management.
- Administer core infrastructure components such as servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and networking systems.
- Ensure platform availability, resilience, disaster recovery readiness, and capacity planning for production environments.
- Monitor infrastructure health using observability tools and proactively resolve performance issues.
- Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements to reliability.
- Drive automation efforts through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Enforce security best practices, provide Level 2 operational support, and maintain comprehensive operational documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience managing Linux-based production environments and enterprise infrastructure.
- Strong Kubernetes administration skills, including proficiency with Docker, Helm, and kubectl.
- Experience with virtualization platforms, networking fundamentals, and storage technologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or ELK stack.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, scripting languages, CI/CD tools, and Git workflows.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities, ownership mentality, effective communication skills, and an automation-first approach. Exposure to cloud platforms is a plus.
