The Expert Jazz GSM Strategy role is a critical position within the Pricing, Strategy & Digital Analytics function of the Jazz Consumer Division. This role provides the analytical backbone for the consumer strategy, ensuring that all strategic decisions and progress against the annual business plan are supported by precise and well-structured analysis. Working closely with the Manager Jazz GSM Strategy, product owners, and business teams, the expert consolidates business inputs into the strategy, maintains models and trackers, and analyzes performance to identify deviations early. The role also supports the development of strategic narratives and financial models for major initiatives, enabling proactive management and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Consolidate inputs from product owners across Jazz GSM into the strategy model, linking key initiatives and levers to the approved business plan baseline and ambition.
- Maintain the strategy tracker by monitoring key performance indicators monthly and quarterly, flagging emerging gaps promptly.
- Support quarterly strategy reviews by analyzing actual performance and year-end projections against the locked business plan, updating the strategy model accordingly.
- Conduct deviation analysis to identify root causes such as market factors, internal support gaps, or execution challenges, and prepare findings for review by the Manager Jazz GSM Strategy.
- Track critical support requirements including budget, network, and advertising spend, reporting on their delivery status relative to the business plan ambition.
- Gather and analyze market and competitive intelligence to inform strategy development and strategic narratives.
- Prepare executive-level analysis and presentation materials for the President Jazz GSM and VP Jazz Consumer Growth for internal and external forums.
- Develop financial models and business cases for strategic projects such as spectrum auctions and new ventures, applying techniques including DCF, NPV, IRR, and payback analysis.
- Coordinate with Planning, FP&A, and BI teams to ensure data consistency and alignment of assumptions across business plans, forecasts, and strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Business, Economics, Finance, Management Sciences, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to clearly explain performance gaps and their root causes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, PowerQuery, and Think-Cell.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build clear storylines and prepare executive-level presentation materials.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CFA, ACMA, or CIMA are highly encouraged.
- Experience in telecom segments, pricing, strategy, business planning, or consumer digital services is preferred.
- Sound understanding of the telecom business model and its key commercial and financial drivers.
