We are seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst to support the development and execution of strategic investment opportunities across various markets. This role, based in Pakistan and reporting directly to VEON HQ, offers global exposure and involves contributing to financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and transaction execution. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external advisors across functions and geographies, focusing on transactions within the TMT, fintech, and digital sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of the M&A pipeline across VEON markets.
- Conduct financial analysis and valuation using methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
- Prepare executive-level materials and presentations for internal stakeholders to aid decision-making.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive knowledge bank of TMT, fintech, and digital transactions, including peer benchmarks.
- Coordinate cross-functional due diligence workstreams and manage relationships with external advisors.
- Assist in transaction execution, including preparation and review of key deal documentation.
- Monitor post-transaction key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess performance against the original deal rationale.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an MBA in Finance or Accounting and/or professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, or CA are highly desirable.
- 4 to 6+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development/M&A, private equity, venture capital, or related fields.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including proficiency in DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transaction analyses.
- Solid understanding of TMT, fintech, and digital business models.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end M&A process, including due diligence and transaction execution.
- Excellent analytical, structuring, and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and geographies with a strong ownership mindset.
- Proven track record supporting transactions through screening, financial modeling, and due diligence coordination.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial data and market intelligence platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, and Factiva.
- Familiarity with legal documentation and key commercial terms related to transactions.
