Expert .NET Engineer

Ciklum is seeking an Expert .NET Engineer to join our dynamic team full-time in Pakistan. As a custom product engineering company, we collaborate with multinational organizations and fast-growing startups to solve complex business challenges. In this role, you will contribute to a digital transformation project for a leading global provider of audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, and tax services. The project focuses on evaluating and modernizing technology across the tax lifecycle by analyzing existing assets, assessing functionalities, and developing new solutions to replace outdated systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop back-end functionality for new features and enhancements.
- Participate in code and architectural reviews, and document system architecture.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Take a proactive role in solution development and process improvements.
- Deliver on the product roadmap while planning for future development cycles.
- Address complex technical challenges during development and provide creative, rapid solutions in the field.
- Ensure adherence to high coding standards by writing testable, automatable, and performant code throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate and enhance productive development.

Required Qualifications:
- Over 4 years of commercial software development experience.
- Strong foundation in computer science principles including OOP, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Solid understanding of database theory covering both relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and design patterns including architectural and enterprise patterns.
- Knowledge of network protocols such as HTTP and REST, along with authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB, and key-value stores such as Redis or Memcached.
- Basic familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem, including .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core (MVC, WebAPI).
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools, preferably GitHub Copilot, and exposure to Vibe coding.
- Practical knowledge of ORM tools such as Entity Framework or Dapper.
- Experience with SQL Server and messaging systems like RabbitMQ or ServiceBus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in testing frameworks including NUnit, XUnit, or MSTest.
- Experience with web servers and version control systems such as Git.
- Upper-intermediate English communication skills or higher.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
