We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. This is an excellent experiance level opportunity for individuals in medical billing. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for Eligibility verification for billing information, ensuring claims are accurately submitted to insurance companies, and Daily Payment Posting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Billing & Coding: Learn to accurately code patient diagnoses and treatments using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Claims Processing: Assist in preparing and submitting claims to insurance companies and government health programs.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance details to ensure accurate billing and coverage.
- Follow-up on Claims: Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding unpaid claims or discrepancies.
- Data Entry: Input and maintain accurate billing data into the system.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, payments, and claim status updates.
- Compliance: Ensure all billing procedures adhere to healthcare regulations, including HIPA
- Payment Posting: Daily Post the Payments in systems, Hunt from Insurances portals, EOB/ERA Payment Posting
- Software: SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, OfficeAlly, TheraNest, JaneApp etc (Mental Health Care)
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree,
- Knowledge: Familiarity with basic medical terminology, billing codes, and insurance policies is preferred..
