Fabrication Supervisor

GST International is seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee shop-floor operations focused on structural steel and pre-engineered building (PEB) fabrication. This full-time, on-site position based in Saudi Arabia involves managing the entire fabrication process within the workshop or yard environment—from cutting and fit-up to welding and final dispatch. The successful candidate will ensure that all fabricated components strictly adhere to drawings and schedules, maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the production cycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily fabrication activities, including cutting, fit-up, and welding sequences for structural steel members.
- Allocate manpower effectively and assign job cards to optimize workflow across the fabrication floor.
- Maintain thorough material traceability, reviewing Material Test Certificates (MTC) and tracking heat numbers throughout the fabrication process.
- Ensure strict compliance with fabrication and detail drawings during all stages of production.
- Coordinate closely with QA/QC teams to facilitate in-process and pre-dispatch inspections.
- Manage logistics for completed work, coordinating with site teams to meet delivery schedules efficiently.
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on the shop floor to maintain a safe working environment.
- Prepare and maintain daily and weekly fabrication progress reports to track productivity and project milestones.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Fabrication Supervisor specifically in structural steel or PEB fabrication, with a preference for workshop or yard-based roles rather than site-only erection.
- Hands-on expertise in supervising cutting, fit-up, and welding sequences.
- Proficient in interpreting and working from fabrication and shop drawings.
- Experience managing material traceability documentation, including MTCs and heat number tracking.
- Strong skills in manpower management and job-card assignment to ensure smooth operations.
- Currently based in Saudi Arabia or willing to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working with a recognized PEB or steel fabricator.
- Basic knowledge of welding inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or experience in marking up shop drawings is advantageous.
