Project Objective:

The Balochistan Education Foundation (BEF), through its FSS program in collaboration with ACTED, is being implemented in the districts of Jaffarabad and Usta Muhammad. The project specifically targets out-of-school children from marginalized and low-income communities, aiming to enroll them in the FSS program and provide free, quality education. Through this partnership, the program seeks to reduce educational disparities, promote access to learning for vulnerable populations, and equip learners with essential knowledge and practical skills to support their long-term personal and economic development.

Assignment:

The Teacher will be based in Baluchistan and will be responsible for overall school management, both academically and administratively. They will ensure a continued quality learning environment along with the mentioned TORs.

Functions:

Project Implementation:

The job holder will be responsible for reporting on program functioning according to the standard requirements of this role. The incumbent will identify program gaps, challenges, and barriers in enrollment, attendance, retention, and transitioning, and share the findings with a supervisor. Ensure safeguarding for learners (girls) and implement ACTED’s zero-tolerance policy.

Key Responsibilities – School Teacher (BEF School):

  • Conduct daily teaching activities and support the overall academic objectives of the school.
  • Plan, implement, and improve instructional programs to enhance student learning and development.
  • Maintain effective classroom management, discipline, and a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare timetables, lesson plans, and ensure timely completion of courses.
  • Monitor student attendance (minimum 80%) and follow up with parents/community to prevent dropouts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including admissions, transfers, and academic progress.
  • Participate in and organize Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and maintain regular communication with parents.
  • Supervise students and school activities, ensuring safety and discipline within school premises.
  • Support extracurricular activities to promote student engagement and morale.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of school facilities, materials, and equipment.
  • Control and monitor visitor access to the school.
  • Report regularly to Head Teacher, DPM, AC, and BEF management on school performance and student progress.
  • Foster a positive school environment that encourages respect, growth, and community involvement.

Technical Leadership:

The incumbent will lead on learners’ learning outcomes and ensure full compliance as per BEF requirements.
