Factory Setup & Production Head – Safety Gloves Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Factory Setup & Production Head to lead the establishment and expansion of our in-house safety and industrial gloves manufacturing unit in Sialkot, Pakistan. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep, hands-on expertise in glove production—from raw materials to finished products. The ideal candidate will have extensive practical knowledge of leather and industrial safety gloves, including machinery, cutting, stitching, quality control, costing, and labor management. This position involves significant responsibility for organizing, scaling, and optimizing the manufacturing operation while working closely with company management.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup, organization, and scaling of the company’s safety glove manufacturing operations.
- Oversee daily factory production and overall manufacturing performance.
- Develop efficient production workflows covering raw material receipt, cutting, stitching, finishing, inspection, and packing.
- Determine machinery, equipment, manpower, and production line requirements.
- Recruit, train, and manage skilled workers such as cutters, stitchers, sample makers, supervisors, and quality control personnel.
- Utilize industry contacts and local knowledge to build a strong production team and supplier network.
- Develop gloves based on customer samples, specifications, drawings, or technical requirements.
- Supervise glove pattern development, grading, cutting, stitching, assembly, lining, reinforcement, cuffs, binding, TPR application, labeling, and finishing processes.
- Prepare and review bills of materials (BOMs), material consumption, production costing, and expected output.
- Improve material utilization and reduce leather and fabric wastage.
- Set production targets and monitor daily output against goals.
- Enhance line efficiency, worker productivity, and cost per pair.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production protocols.
- Establish and enforce quality control procedures at all manufacturing stages.
- Detect and prevent issues related to workmanship, stitching, sizing, material defects, finishing, and packing.
- Ensure consistent adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with sampling, purchasing, quality, production, and management teams.
- Support management with technical decisions on new products, machinery, materials, and capacity expansion.
- Mentor junior production staff and build a capable manufacturing team.
- Take ownership of production deadlines, quality standards, factory discipline, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4-5 years of direct experience in safety, work, or industrial glove manufacturing, with a strong preference for leather safety gloves.
- In-depth practical knowledge of glove manufacturing processes rather than general factory management.
- Expertise in leather types, grading, thickness, selection, cutting, and utilization.
- Strong understanding of glove patterns, sizing, construction, stitching, linings, cuffs, reinforcements, and accessories.
- Ability to analyze glove samples and determine manufacturing requirements.
- Experience in establishing production lines, manpower planning, operation sequencing, and setting production targets.
- Proven experience managing skilled factory workers and supervisors.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and common manufacturing defects.
- Familiarity with material consumption, BOM preparation, costing, and production efficiency.
- Good understanding of glove production machinery and maintenance needs.
- Established contacts within the local glove, leather, labor, supplier, and manufacturing community.
- Prior experience in setting up new manufacturing units or expanding existing factories is highly desirable.
- Awareness of international safety glove standards such as EN 388, EN 407, EN 12477, ANSI/ISEA 105, or similar is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience manufacturing products such as welding gloves, leather driver gloves, impact-resistant/TPR gloves, cut-resistant safety gloves, industrial work gloves, leather palm gloves, mechanic-style gloves, trigger-style work gloves, and leather protectors.
- Ability to lead a professional, efficient, and scalable manufacturing operation with strong problem-solving and team-building skills.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs60,000 to Rs70,000.
- This is an in-person role based in Sialkot, Pakistan.

Candidates with only general textile or apparel factory management experience without direct glove manufacturing expertise are unlikely to be suitable.
