Famco Instruments is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Calibration Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precise calibration of weigh balances and associated instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and accuracy according to industry standards. This role plays a vital part in supporting the after-sales service by providing technical backup and repair assistance. While prior extensive experience is not mandatory, the candidate should have at least one year of relevant experience and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills. The company provides comprehensive training to fully prepare the engineer for all calibration and service-related tasks. The Calibration Engineer will rigorously apply calibration techniques and metrology principles to maintain and verify measurement equipment. Working under established quality assurance procedures and following ISO standards, the engineer will document technical processes and outcomes thoroughly. Collaboration with other technical staff is essential to troubleshoot issues and ensure minimal downtime. This role does not include team management responsibilities; however, the engineer will contribute to a cohesive and efficient technical operations environment by sharing insights and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct precise calibration of weigh balances and related measurement instruments following established calibration techniques and metrology best practices.
  • Perform detailed inspections and functional tests on calibration equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and after-sale service, assisting in troubleshooting and repair activities to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and operate various test and calibration equipment accurately adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Document all calibration activities, including recording results, equipment adjustments, and maintenance actions in compliance with ISO standards.
  • Develop and follow quality assurance protocols to ensure all precision instruments meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Analyze calibration data to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential equipment faults and recommend corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth technical support operations and continuous process improvement.
  • Participate in technical training sessions provided by the company to enhance skills and stay updated with industry developments.
  • Manage calibration schedules to ensure timely servicing and minimize operational interruptions.
