Fashion Curator

We are seeking a passionate fashion merchandiser who has a deep love for fashion, thrifting, and uncovering unique pieces before they become widely known. This role is not about traditional merchandising tasks like managing spreadsheets or inventory planning. Instead, you will focus on curating collections that appeal directly to resellers. Your day will involve exploring vendor profiles, thrift stores, and resale platforms such as Vinted, Depop, and eBay to identify trending items, popular brands, and styles that can be transformed into collections resellers will eagerly purchase. The working hours for this position are from 1 PM to 9 PM.

Key Responsibilities

- Continuously research resale platforms including Vinted, Depop, eBay, and others to discover compelling products, brands, styles, and emerging trends.
- Curate collections based on market insights and current demand.
- Identify brands, aesthetics, categories, and individual pieces that have strong resale potential.
- Develop collections centered around specific trends, aesthetics, seasons, brands, and customer preferences.
- Understand what makes a collection commercially attractive to resellers, beyond just visual appeal.
- Analyze reseller profiles and their inventories to determine buying and selling patterns, as well as gaps in the market.
- Track and identify emerging fashion trends early to stay ahead of the curve.
- Assist in deciding which products should be featured on the homepage to maximize engagement and sales.
- Collaborate with sourcing and operations teams to convert curated selections into actual inventory.
- Cultivate a clear and compelling point of view on the brand’s identity and merchandising strategy.
- Regularly present your discoveries, collections, and fashion insights through short-form video content and social media.
- Represent the merchandising vision confidently on camera, becoming the face and voice of the brand’s fashion perspective.

Required Qualifications

- A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Buying, Fashion Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Genuine passion for thrifting and preloved fashion items.
- Strong knowledge of Western fashion markets, including brands, aesthetics, and current trends.
- Enjoy spending time browsing resale platforms such as Vinted, Depop, and eBay to discover unique finds.
- Excellent eye for styling, product selection, and building cohesive collections.
- Ability to distinguish between items that are simply trendy and those that have strong resale value.
- Naturally curious with a continuous interest in monitoring fashion developments.
- Skilled at spotting emerging brands and trends before they hit the mainstream.
- Comfortable making decisions informed by both fashion intuition and data analysis.
- Confident and articulate in front of the camera, able to discuss your work and findings clearly.
- Capable of explaining the significance of particular collections, brands, or pieces to a diverse audience.
