Fashion Designer

We are seeking a talented Fashion Designer to lead the creation of new product launches within our garment and leather collections. This role involves transforming current trends and brand direction into detailed designs, technical packs, and samples ready for production. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Pattern Master and sample makers, overseeing the process from initial concept through to the approved sample stage.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough research on fashion trends, competitor product launches, and customer feedback to generate innovative product ideas.
- Develop design concepts, sketches, and mood boards for both new collections and individual product launches.
- Prepare comprehensive tech packs that clearly specify measurements, materials, trims, colors, and construction details.
- Select appropriate leather, fabrics, linings, and trims that align with design intent, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Provide detailed briefs to the Pattern Master and sample team, managing each sample’s development process closely.
- Review samples rigorously for appearance, fit, and finish, offering precise correction notes to ensure quality.
- Maintain organized records of all designs, revisions, and approved samples for future reference.
- Coordinate effectively with creative, product, and sourcing teams to ensure adherence to launch timelines.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in designing woven and leather garments.
- Strong sketching abilities, both by hand and digitally, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software.
- Solid understanding of garment construction, materials, and fit principles.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise clearly with production and sampling teams.
