Fashion Designer

Dhaga is seeking a creative and trend-savvy Fashion Designer with a deep understanding of Gen Z fashion, contemporary eastern wear, and commercially viable design. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for modern cuts, flattering silhouettes, styling, color combinations, and embroidery development. This role requires someone who can translate current trends into original, wearable designs that resonate with Dhaga’s distinct brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

- Design contemporary eastern wear including co-ords, kurtas, kaftans, and occasion wear.
- Develop fresh Gen Z-inspired cuts, silhouettes, and styling concepts.
- Conduct thorough research on local and international fashion trends to inform design direction.
- Create mood boards, sketches, and complete collection concepts that align with brand aesthetics.
- Design embroidery layouts, motifs, placements, and select appropriate color combinations.
- Choose suitable fabrics, trims, embellishments, and finishing details to enhance garment appeal.
- Collaborate closely with pattern makers, sampling teams, embroidery specialists, and production units to ensure quality and design accuracy.
- Conduct fittings to refine garment cuts, lengths, and proportions for optimal fit and comfort.
- Style complete looks for campaigns, photoshoots, and product launches, ensuring a cohesive visual presentation.
- Balance creativity with wearability, pricing considerations, and commercial demand to produce market-ready collections.
- Analyze customer preferences and contribute to the development of potential bestsellers.
- Maintain Dhaga’s brand identity while consistently introducing fresh ideas to each collection.

Required Qualifications

- Strong understanding of Gen Z fashion trends and contemporary Pakistani eastern wear.
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction, cuts, fabrics, and fitting techniques.
- Practical experience with embroidery techniques, including motif design and placement.
- Proficient fashion illustration and technical drawing skills.
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for design development.
- Awareness of color theory, styling principles, and seasonal fashion trends.
- Ability to manage multiple samples simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- A strong portfolio showcasing original and innovative designs is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Previous experience working with a women’s fashion brand is highly preferred.
