The Fashion Designer–Knits will be responsible for designing and developing knitwear collections specifically for children. This role requires creating age-appropriate, functional, and brand-aligned styles. Daily tasks include generating design concepts, sketching, fabric selection, developing color palettes, and coordinating embroidery and trim details for knit garments. The designer will collaborate closely with sampling and production teams to refine garment fit, conduct fittings, and ensure that quality standards are upheld throughout the production process. Additionally, the role involves researching current trends in children’s fashion, analyzing market and customer feedback, and updating collections to stay relevant and appealing. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lahore.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop knitwear collections tailored for children, ensuring alignment with the brand’s identity and market needs.
- Create detailed design concepts, sketches, and technical specifications for knit garments.
- Select appropriate fabrics, colors, and trims, including embroidery and decorative elements suitable for kids’ apparel.
- Collaborate with sampling and production teams to oversee garment fit, conduct fittings, and maintain quality standards.
- Conduct trend research and analyze market feedback to inform design updates and collection improvements.
- Ensure all designs meet functional requirements for children’s wear, including comfort, durability, and safety.
- Work closely with merchandising and production departments to ensure timely delivery of collections.

Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in fashion design, with a particular focus on children’s apparel and knitwear.
- Proficiency in textiles, especially knitted fabrics, understanding their performance, texture, and suitability for kids’ clothing.
- Experience with embroidery and decorative techniques applicable to children’s knit garments.
- Solid knowledge of garment fitting, construction, and size grading specific to children’s wear.
- Ability to translate fashion trends into commercially viable and cohesive knitwear collections.
- Competency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar CAD tools.
- Keen attention to detail, a strong sense of color and pattern, and a commitment to producing high-quality, comfortable garments.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with design, production, and merchandising teams.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related discipline is preferred.
