Fashion Designer - Western Wear & Leather Garments

We are seeking a talented Fashion Designer to lead the creation of new product launches within our garment and leather collections. In this role, you will translate current trends and brand direction into innovative designs, detailed tech packs, and high-quality samples ready for production. You will collaborate closely with the Pattern Master and sample makers from the initial concept stage through to final sample approval, ensuring each product meets our standards and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough research on fashion trends, competitor product launches, and customer feedback to generate fresh and relevant product ideas.
- Develop design concepts, sketches, and mood boards for both new collections and individual product launches.
- Prepare comprehensive tech packs that include measurements, materials, trims, colors, and construction details to guide the production process.
- Select appropriate leather, fabrics, linings, and trims that align with the design vision, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Provide clear briefs to the Pattern Master and sample team, overseeing each sample’s development from start to finish.
- Evaluate samples for aesthetics, fit, and finish, offering precise correction notes to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain organized records of all designs, revisions, and approved samples for reference and quality control.
- Collaborate effectively with creative, product, and sourcing teams to ensure smooth coordination and adherence to launch timelines.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in designing woven and leather garments.
- Strong sketching abilities, both hand-drawn and digital, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software.
- Solid understanding of garment construction, materials, and fit principles.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise clearly with production and sampling teams.
