Faysal Bank Ltd is seeking a motivated Trainee Trade Officers to join its Trade Department. This entry-level role focuses on assisting in the management of trade finance operations and supporting import and export documentation processes. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth processing of trade finance transactions. Strong communication skills and foundational knowledge of Islamic Banking principles are essential to effectively support department operations and contribute to customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities
  1. To review and ensure that all existing and new Trade Customer’s documentation (i.e. Client request, Insurance Cover, Pro Forma Invoice, Bill of Lading, etc.) are in compliance of Bank’s internal policies, and SBP Regulations (i.e. FCY Manual, Prudential Regulations, Trade Operations Policy & Procedure, etc.) regarding Imports/Exports, Remittances, Guarantees, and Foreign Currency transactions.
  2.  To check documents, approval of L/C amendments, review relevant correspondence and sign vouchers.
  3. To check documents regarding acceptances, Payment against Documents (PAD), and ensure proper preparation of the PAD memo.
  4.  To execute proper handling of trade documents, mange the process of document negotiations, ensure rectification of discrepancies, typing, rechecking, signing, and dispatching in time, and proper record keeping of trade documents.
  5. To review client's requests/documents for Letter of Credit, Contracts, Export, Guarantees, Direct and Advance Payments.
  6. To coordinate with business teams and customers in order to resolve any lapses or missing/incomplete documentation, or to obtain clarity on the nature and specifics of the trade finance transaction.
  7. To coordinate with business teams and customers for import payment/acceptance, and treasury rates.
  8. To coordinate with the Credit Administration Division for release of documents against FIM lodgment/payment of copies.
  9. To coordinate with concerned teams for ensuring payment against overdue and outstanding financing.
  10. To deliver guarantees for respective regions and resolution of discrepancies.
  11. To submit cases for customer refinancing to the SBP as per established standards. 
  12. To implement OFAC and CPI checks for trade customers.
