FICO Consultant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SAP FICO Consultant with expertise in Financial Accounting and Controlling (FI/CO) to support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP FI/CO solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial and controlling processes, hands-on SAP experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth financial operations and delivering business solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Configuration:
Assist in implementing and configuring SAP FI/CO modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, cost center accounting, and profitability analysis. Gather and analyze business requirements to translate them into effective SAP FI/CO solutions. Perform system configuration, develop functional specifications, and conduct unit and integration testing to ensure system accuracy.

Process Optimization:
Evaluate existing financial and controlling processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements using SAP FI/CO tools. Enhance financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management processes to support informed business decision-making. Support initiatives aimed at improving compliance, reducing financial risks, and streamlining operations.

Support & Maintenance:
Provide daily operational support for the SAP FI/CO module by troubleshooting issues and resolving incidents promptly. Conduct regular system maintenance activities, including monitoring and debugging. Collaborate with the IT team to maintain system performance, reliability, and security.

Integration & Collaboration:
Work closely with consultants from other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP to ensure seamless integration of SAP FI/CO with broader business processes. Partner with finance, procurement, and operational teams to align SAP FI/CO functionalities with organizational needs. Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather requirements and ensure SAP solutions support business strategies.

Training & Documentation:
Develop user manuals, training materials, and system documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and encourage user adoption. Conduct training sessions for end-users and internal teams to maximize the effective use of SAP FI/CO functionalities.

Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with SAP FI/CO enhancements, new releases, and industry trends. Identify opportunities to leverage advanced SAP features and tools, including S/4HANA and Fiori applications, to improve business outcomes. Engage in ongoing projects to drive continuous improvement of SAP FI/CO systems.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO module implementation and configuration.
- Proven experience supporting and optimizing SAP FI/CO functionalities in a professional environment.
- Strong skills in requirement gathering, solution design, testing, documentation, and user support.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- SAP Certification in Financial Accounting or Controlling is preferred.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
