We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Educator Lead to drive patient education and awareness programs within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, focusing primarily on individuals affected by diabetes and obesity. This role involves leading a team of Healthcare Educators to ensure consistent and effective delivery of patient counselling, screening, education, product demonstrations, and follow-up activities across various pharmacies and clinics. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient outcomes through education and support, while maintaining high standards of compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and mentor a team of Healthcare Educators to deliver high-quality patient education and counselling services consistently.
- Oversee diabetes and obesity-related education initiatives, including screening, assessments, documentation, follow-ups, and product or device demonstrations.
- Conduct regular field visits to assigned pharmacies and clinics to evaluate team performance, service quality, compliance with protocols, and overall project implementation.
- Monitor and track team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback and support to enhance performance.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely daily reporting and submission of KPI-related data to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Lead and other stakeholders to communicate project updates, operational needs, and address any challenges encountered in the field.
- Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ethical guidelines, patient privacy, data protection policies, and safety reporting requirements.
- Facilitate appropriate patient referrals to clinicians or specialists when necessary and promptly escalate any pharmacovigilance incidents, adverse events, or product complaints.
- Travel as required across assigned locations to support field activities and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or Pharm-D, in a relevant healthcare discipline.
- Up to 2 years of experience in healthcare, patient education, nutrition, pharmacy, or related fields.
- Familiarity with patient counselling, disease awareness programs, or clinical/pharmacy settings is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of diabetes, obesity, and lifestyle management principles.
- Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in English and at least one local language.
- Comfortable utilizing digital tools and educational resources to support patient education.
