Fim Enterprises is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with at least three years of experience in civil construction projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cost estimation, contract management, and project cost control. This role focuses on accurately preparing quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, estimates, and rate analysis to ensure projects stay within budget and follow agreed contracts. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with site engineers and project management to verify quantities based on drawings and site measurements, manage variations, and monitor overall project costs. A diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with relevant experience in quantity surveying, estimation, and billing is a key requirement for this position. This is an individual contributor role without team management responsibilities, suited for professionals who excel in detailed project financial analysis and contract administration. In this position, the Quantity Surveyor plays a pivotal role in controlling and optimizing construction costs through meticulous planning and timely reporting. The role demands proficiency in tendering and procurement processes as well as the preparation and verification of interim payment certificates and final bills. The successful candidate will ensure alignment between project financial data and construction progress, coordinating effectively with multiple stakeholders to address any discrepancies or project cost variations. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for detailed costing and data management are essential. Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects.
  • Conduct thorough rate analysis to support tendering and procurement processes.
  • Verify and prepare bills and interim payment certificates in alignment with contractual agreements and site progress.
  • Check and reconcile quantities based on technical drawings and site measurements to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Monitor overall project costs and assess variations, providing timely reports to project management.
  • Coordinate with site engineers and project teams to ensure cost control measures are implemented effectively.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all quantity surveying activities including contracts, estimates, bills, and cost reports.
  • Support project budgeting and forecasting by providing detailed cost inputs and financial data.
  • Assist in contract administration and management, ensuring adherence to terms, conditions, and timelines.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and manage detailed costing reports, track expenses, and analyze financial data.
  • Collaborate with procurement and tendering teams to evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies throughout all quantity surveying processes.
