Finance Controller

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Finance Officer to join our team in Multan. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed management accounts, and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and statutory requirements. This role requires strong expertise in financial management, reporting, and internal controls to support the organization’s financial stability and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks and prepare monthly management accounts along with financial reports for both the management team and Board meetings. Manage budgets by monitoring expenditures and providing explanations for significant variances against the budget. Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts to identify potential funding shortfalls. Ensure regular completion of bank reconciliations and other essential financial checks to maintain accuracy and transparency.

Compliance & Financial Controls
Ensure full compliance with Kenyan tax laws and statutory requirements, including PAYE, VAT, and other applicable deductions. Maintain robust financial controls to safeguard the organization’s funds and assets. Coordinate the annual external audit process and ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations. Oversee the proper recording, monitoring, and reporting of donor funds to maintain accountability and transparency.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential. Candidates must hold a CPA-K qualification and have a minimum of five years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required. A strong understanding of Kenyan tax and statutory requirements is critical. Experience in preparing financial reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts is also necessary.
